ML Vision Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the creation of innovative computer vision algorithms for shopper detection, tracking, and analytics.

• Enhance the performance and efficiency of existing algorithms currently in production.

• Utilize multi-view geometry techniques for image registration, mosaicking, and 3D reconstruction.

• Prototype new methodologies in Python or MATLAB prior to finalizing them for production.

• Develop software that integrates Aurora's stereo cameras, WiFi, and Bluetooth technologies.

• Design solutions that accommodate variable lighting, store layouts, and hardware limitations.

• Collaborate across video, WiFi, and Bluetooth analytics pipelines.

• Design, implement, validate, and deploy applications and functionalities in C++ and Python.

• Transition algorithms from prototypes to production-ready code that operates reliably at scale.

• Validate methodologies against real-world deployments in extensive, global installations.

• Collaborate with the R&D team to review, test, and launch new capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, or Machine Learning.

• Proficient programming skills in C/C++.

• Experience in rapid prototyping using Python or MATLAB.

• Solid understanding of multi-view geometry.

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and releasing computer vision applications.

• Familiarity with multiple object tracking or facial analysis is a plus but not mandatory.

• Experience in integrating multi-sensor systems (video, WiFi, Bluetooth) is valued but not required.

• Background in applying computer vision at a production scale, not solely in research, is appreciated but not essential.

• Experience with embedded or onboard processing on custom hardware is valued but not necessary.
