This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and implement production ML models for multi-object tracking, encompassing association, learned pose and kinematic estimation, and sensor fusion utilizing camera, LiDAR, radar, and various vehicle sensors.
• Establish scalable training and evaluation processes using PyTorch, distributed training infrastructure, and extensive real-world datasets.
• Design and enhance tracking and sensor fusion algorithms to ensure robust vehicle pose and kinematics.
• Examine large-scale vehicle data to assess performance, pinpoint failure modes, and promote improvements in models and systems.
• Produce robust, efficient production software using modern C++ and Python throughout the entire development lifecycle.
• Specify evaluation, verification, and validation strategies to guarantee tracking quality, robustness, and safety across different operating conditions.
• Make informed technical design and architecture choices, weighing model performance, computational efficiency, robustness, and production constraints.
• Collaborate with teams focused on perception, mapping, planning, controls, and platforms to deliver cohesive autonomous driving capabilities.
• Offer technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and the development of engineering best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a similar field with over 6 years of applicable industry experience, or a Master’s degree with more than 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with at least 1 year of pertinent industry experience.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles or robotics perception systems (tracking, detection, SLAM, scene modeling, etc.).
• Strong background in developing and deploying ML models for perception, localization, or sensor fusion applications.
• Proficiency in PyTorch and contemporary ML tools for training, inference, and optimization.
• Comprehensive understanding of 3D geometry, probabilistic estimation, coordinate transformations, and foundational robotics principles.
• Proven ability to work with large multimodal datasets and create scalable pipelines for processing, labeling, and evaluation.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python and C++, including expertise in algorithms, data structures, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Bonus: Experience with state estimation methods such as factor graphs, Kalman filtering, nonlinear optimization, or related probabilistic techniques.
• Bonus: Familiarity with distributed computing tools like Ray, Kubernetes, or similar orchestration frameworks.

• Bonus: Experience in simulation, synthetic data generation, and uncertainty-aware ML modeling.
