Senior Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the administration, support, governance, and ongoing enhancement of Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Intune.

• Act as the Tier 3 escalation point and technical expert for Microsoft 365 platform challenges and initiatives.

• Design and implement secure, scalable M365 solutions that align with enterprise architecture and security protocols.

• Spearhead SharePoint governance, manage permissions, oversee site lifecycle management, establish collaboration standards, and lead migration efforts.

• Administer and improve Identity & Access Management capabilities, encompassing Hybrid Identity, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, PIM, and Identity Governance.

• Facilitate enterprise application integrations utilizing SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.

• Manage endpoint solutions via Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, focusing on device provisioning, compliance, application deployment, and endpoint security.

• Create automation and operational enhancements using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.

• Monitor the platform's health, performance, security posture, adoption rates, and compliance metrics.

• Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to enforce Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and governance measures.

• Engage in incident response, root cause analysis, and ongoing service improvement activities.

• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, standards, runbooks, and operational procedures.

• Assess Microsoft roadmap enhancements and drive the adoption of new technologies and platform features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Over 7 years of practical experience in Microsoft 365 administration and engineering within a medium-to-large enterprise setting.

• Profound expertise in Microsoft 365 Administration.

• Proficient in SharePoint Online Administration and Governance.

• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Teams.

• Experienced with Exchange Online.

• Familiar with OneDrive for Business.

• Skilled in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

• Competent in Identity & Access Management (IAM).

• Proficient in Microsoft Intune.

• Strong background in Hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID environments.

• Expertise in implementing and managing SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC, PIM, and Identity Governance.

• Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph automation.

• Familiar with endpoint management, Windows Autopilot, and modern device management.

• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, governance, and collaboration technologies.

• Preferred experience with Microsoft Defender, Purview, ServiceNow, and ITIL processes.

• Experience working with global organizations and distributed teams is a plus.

• Desired certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102); Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300); Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102); Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100).
