Senior Software Engineer – Platform Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage CI/CD pipelines utilized by all engineering teams.

• Create and sustain observability and monitoring tools for production troubleshooting.

• Develop local development environment tools that simulate production conditions.

• Identify and remove infrastructure-related obstacles for engineering teams.

• Troubleshoot intricate issues involving CI/CD, observability, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.

• Contribute to the platform's roadmap and backlog management.

• Build and support the internal platform utilized by Cast AI engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid foundation in software engineering principles, including clean abstractions, maintainable code, and well-reasoned architectural decisions.

• Production experience with Go is highly preferred; candidates lacking Go experience should exhibit strong systems programming expertise in a similar language.

• Experience in platform engineering with a focus on building and managing CI/CD and GitOps systems, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, observability and monitoring tools, and cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with AI coding agents and agentic development workflows.

• Proven ability to drive a complex project from start to finish.

• Excellent debugging, optimization, and performance tuning capabilities.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Startup mentality; adaptable, proactive, and comfortable navigating uncertainty.

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations for teams that require it.

• Background checks may be performed at the final selection stage.

• Must reside in one of the designated European countries.
