Senior Medical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create high-quality content for a wide array of medical communications initiatives, such as comprehensive outlines, initial manuscript drafts, symposia, advisory boards, training programs, and detail aids.

• Generate content with minimal oversight, adhering to budget constraints and deadlines.

• Utilize client approval systems as necessary.

• Stay informed about new advancements within assigned therapeutic areas and the broader field of medical communications.

• Relay relevant knowledge to project teams and external clients.

• Present work to clients during project calls when required.

• Attend and provide reports on conferences and external meetings as needed.

• Independently complete sections of proposals and present or pitch those sections.

• Oversee daily client communications and relationships related to written work.

• Proactively engage with clients and internal project teams to manage expectations and anticipate potential issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree in a life sciences discipline.

• Experience as a medical writer in a healthcare communications agency or a comparable environment.

• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication abilities.

• Strong command of the English language.

• Keen attention to detail concerning both scientific content and editorial standards.

• Life science graduate (preferably holding a PhD).

• Capacity to adapt writing style to various materials and target audiences.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with referencing software and database searching is preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple projects across different products and therapeutic areas simultaneously.
