This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Act as a medical advocate for Caribou, leveraging expertise in disease states and investigational cellular therapies during scientific discussions with healthcare professionals.
β’ Establish, nurture, and sustain relationships with clinical investigators, key opinion leaders, and personnel involved in academic research.
β’ Engage with and educate key trial sites at both academic institutions and community centers to facilitate start-up processes.
β’ Address challenging scenarios by prioritizing solutions and formulating mitigation strategies to meet the needs of healthcare teams.
β’ Assist in medical affairs initiatives, including the development of trial protocols, publication support, and training activities.
β’ Raise issues to senior leadership when necessary.
β’ Ensure consistent, clear, and thorough communication with the medical team at headquarters.
β’ Effectively convey complex medical and scientific information to healthcare providers.
β’ An advanced science degree is required (PhD, PharmD, MD, RN, NP, PA or an equivalent qualification).
β’ For Senior MSL: A minimum of 5 years of relevant pharmaceutical and/or clinical experience, including at least 2 years as a field medical science liaison or in a comparable role.
β’ For Field Medical Affairs Director: A minimum of 10 years of relevant pharmaceutical and/or clinical experience, including at least 5 years in a field medical science liaison position or an equivalent role.
β’ Prior experience in cellular therapy within the hematology/oncology sector is essential.
β’ Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
β’ Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously with minimal supervision and oversight.
β’ Proficiency in delivering scientific and clinical presentations to varied audiences.
β’ Ability to independently oversee projects while collaborating with cross-functional team members.
β’ Must be willing and able to travel across the US and potentially internationally for medical congresses, exhibit booth staffing, and clinical site visits; weekend travel may be necessary.
β’ Capability to perform well under pressure when faced with time constraints.
β’ Ability to work efficiently in a cross-functional team setting.
β’ Proactive in identifying issues and adopting a solutions-oriented mindset.
β’ Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
