Senior Mechanical Engineer – Nuclear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in the design of systems for nuclear power plants.

• Create or assess modification packages for operational nuclear power plants.

• Develop or evaluate functional mechanical drawings and/or schematics for nuclear power plant systems.

• Produce or review engineering analyses and evaluations that support modifications and the operation of plant systems.

• Draft or assess technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.

• Execute vendor bid evaluations for equipment related to the plant.

• Conduct studies and assessments of options for modifications to existing nuclear power plants.

• Generate engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client-requested work scopes.

• Visit client offices and/or plant sites to collaborate with clients and deliver presentations regarding engineering tasks and their status.

• Lead teams in engineering projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the power industry.

• Proficient understanding of codes, standards, and regulations pertinent to the mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.

• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous, though not mandatory.
