Senior Marine Adjuster – Liability, Complex Hull & Liability Claims

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Investigate the reasons and extent of damages, gather necessary documentation, and process settlements.

• Receive and evaluate new claims while ensuring data integrity within the claims system.

• Assign surveyors as required.

• Review survey reports and insurance policies to confirm adequate coverage.

• Prepare settlement documents and initiate payment requests for claims and expenses.

• Assess claim coverage, limits, and deductibles based on policy details.

• Collaborate with external engineers, surveyors, and various vendors.

• Conduct claim file activities including evaluation, investigation, litigation management, and resolution.

• Contribute to the organization's quality programs.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Travel as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• A valid driver's license and current insurance coverage are mandatory.

• Motor vehicle record must meet required standards.

• An appropriate state adjuster license is necessary.

• Three (3) years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience equivalent is required.

• Familiarity with standard marine policies is essential.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient in PC use, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent customer service abilities.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

• Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.

• Skill in managing work-related stress and handling multiple priorities at the same time.
