Senior Manager, Sourcing and Procurement – Grinds

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Supervise all replenishment functions within the designated Region.

• Educate staff to ensure uniform processes and procedures are followed.

• Oversee performance metrics against set KPI objectives.

• Address issues, implement corrective measures, and make decisions as necessary.

• Facilitate clear communication among all parties involved.

• Act as a subject matter expert for Replenishment operations.

• Enhance legacy processes and develop future solutions with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Provide insights on markets, market pricing strategies, national pricing direction, and strategic purchases across the national platform.

• Serve as Working Manager responsible for significant strategic purchases.

• Conduct Commodity Intel research and market analysis.

• Assist sales as a subject matter expert while collaborating directly with select major accounts.

• Partner with sales on inventory levels and profit margins.

• Manage national inventory strategies and handle excess and obsolete inventory.

• Oversee Stock Yards vendors and customer interactions.

• Supervise three Commodity Managers at Stock Yards and PSSA.

⛳️ Requirements

• Basic computer skills are essential.

• Proficiency in MS Office.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in protein purchasing is required, along with five years of experience managing Buyers.

• Willingness to travel overnight for training, meetings, or other company-related activities may be necessary.

• Proven ability to lead, manage, and train team members.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently with minimal guidance.

• Must be able to meet performance objectives.

• Requires a high level of diplomacy, tact, determination, and persistence to effectively engage with stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills and excellent communication and follow-up abilities are essential.

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10 years of equivalent work experience is required.

• Previous experience with Grinds is preferred.
