This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead and expand a team of Security Engineers tasked with safeguarding cloud-native environments, CI/CD pipelines, and essential production infrastructure.
• Offer strategic guidance, mentorship, and operational excellence as both a technical leader and people manager.
• Foster collaborations with Software Development, DevOps, and Product Management teams to integrate secure-by-design principles into developer workflows.
• Propel proactive vulnerability management initiatives.
• Advocate for the internal dogfooding program to evaluate, monitor, and shape product roadmaps.
• Recruit, retain, nurture, and mentor a globally distributed Security Engineering team.
• Set performance objectives, conduct one-on-one meetings, and assist in career development.
• Lead threat modeling and technical security assessments across product architectures and multi-cloud infrastructures.
• Develop automation, policy-as-code, and user-friendly security tools for continuous security checks within CI/CD workflows.
• Define, implement, and govern secure baselines for multi-cloud resources and managed Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Manage vulnerability assessment and remediation programs, while establishing preventative controls for software supply chains.
• Collaborate with detection and response teams on alert triage, investigations, and automated incident resolution.
• Work alongside Engineering and DevOps leadership to balance security needs with product delivery speed.
• 2+ years of experience in leading, managing, or mentoring security engineering, DevOps, or technical cloud infrastructure teams.
• 7+ years of experience in security engineering or security operations within cloud-native environments.
• Strong practical cloud security experience in AWS, along with a working understanding of Azure or GCP.
• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, including EKS, GKE, and AKS, as well as container security principles.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud IAM architecture and identity security at an enterprise scale.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks like Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, or Pulumi.
• Experience in automation scripting and tooling in Python, Go, Shell, HCL, or Rego.
• Practical knowledge of web application security fundamentals and threat modeling, including the OWASP Top 10 and software supply chain security.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
• Experience managing and scaling remote, globally distributed engineering teams is preferred.
• Experience in large-scale SaaS or managed cloud services organizations is preferred.
• Familiarity with CNAPP, CSPM, CIEM, or CDR platforms and methodologies is preferred.
