This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead and oversee the implementation of sales strategies and plans across national, regional, or local markets.
• Coordinate resources to enhance profitable sales revenue and growth.
• Enhance sales effectiveness in collaboration with sales partners.
• Motivate and inspire the team to achieve business objectives.
• Monitor, assess, and report on sales performance.
• Define and strategize selling organizations to maximize resource efficiency.
• Facilitate staffing processes and provide insights on organizational requirements and sales team development.
• Manage a sales territory, product category, or specific business segment.
• Develop both direct and indirect reports, encompassing inside and outside sales as well as specialized product sales.
• Organize sales meetings and events to secure new business opportunities and submit bids.
• Forecast and meet budgeted sales goals.
• Cultivate and sustain business relationships through customer visits, presentations, innovative programs, and effective communications.
• Analyze sales and operational reports and initiate strategies to rectify shortcomings.
• Create sales programs and monitor their performance.
• Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profit objectives.
• Negotiate national contracts and programs, and communicate or negotiate special pricing and product availability with vendors.
• Oversee sales and customer service functions and implement sales and customer retention initiatives.
• Ensure sales associates actively prospect accounts and evaluate team performance.
• Conduct ride-along activities and engage with customers and potential accounts.
• Train, inspire, and coach sales associates.
• Recruit and interview potential candidates while managing succession planning.
• A BS/BA degree in a relevant field is required.
• Typically, 7+ years of experience in a related area is expected.
• Certification may be necessary.
• An advanced degree may compensate for less experience in certain fields.
• Must consistently operate a personal vehicle for more than 20% of the average work week.
• An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report is required.
• Generally requires overnight travel exceeding 50% of the time.
