Senior Manager, Regional Product Sales – US North, Canada

📋 Description

• Lead a team of Product Sales Managers dedicated to selling and servicing the Rolls business segment.

• Obtain orders from both existing and prospective customers through facility visits and other communication methods within designated accounts.

• Identify opportunities to provide quotes based on customer requirements within assigned accounts.

• Manage and oversee the quotation process, assisting the team with quotes and ensuring timely follow-up with customers.

• Address and resolve any communication or pipeline delays involving both internal and external stakeholders.

• Review, assess, and resolve customer complaints effectively.

• Provide insights on market trends and analysis, including competitor actions, tracking lost orders, and changes in pricing.

• Build professional relationships with customer personnel across various departments including purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and mill management.

• Manage the sales forecast and budget for the assigned territory.

• Assist in the collection of accounts receivable.

• Support marketing, sales, and product launch data collection and distribution efforts.

• Help distribute and collect customer satisfaction surveys.

• Implement Valmet’s Manager Role competencies and behaviors to foster impactful leadership.

• Drive both tactical and strategic people processes, including performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, engagement, development, recruiting, and onboarding.

• Travel as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, along with 10 years of relevant experience.

• Experience within the pulp and paper industry is advantageous.

• Basic understanding of the paper-making process, paper machinery, and paper machine rolls.

• Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to drive change and foster continuous improvement.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to positively influence others.

• Solid grasp of sales and marketing principles.

• Exceptional organizational skills coupled with a customer-oriented mindset.

• Capability to prepare and deliver presentations effectively.

• Willingness to travel within the United States and internationally.
