This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Identify and pursue potential clients through networking, cold calling, and various outreach strategies.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Assess client requirements and customize solutions to meet their specific needs.
• Develop and execute business development strategies aimed at achieving sales targets and fostering company growth.
• Partner with marketing, colleagues from business units, and other internal teams to ensure alignment of strategies and advance business goals.
• Create and present presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
• Meet and surpass sales targets through proactive business development initiatives.
• Negotiate contracts and finalize deals to enhance bookings and revenue growth.
• Track and report on sales performance, making strategic adjustments as necessary.
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances.
• Manage and develop relationships with key partners to optimize mutual advantages.
• Keep precise records of business development activities, client interactions, and sales progress.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management review.
• Act as a commercial subject matter expert in the -Omics vertical, leading key internal business reviews and strategic discussions.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Over 15 years of relevant commercial experience in life sciences, healthcare, or related sectors.
• Master’s Degree with a preference for candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Preferred fields include Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Additional relevant professional certifications are valued.
• Proven track record in managing strategic customer relationships and driving revenue growth.
• Experience in effectively functioning within multi-team organizations.
• Advanced skills in negotiation and contract management for complex, high-value agreements.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to build and sustain executive-level customer relationships.
• Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and resources.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strategic thinking and planning abilities with a focus on results.
• Expertise in customer market requirements, laboratory processes, and methods within the Research and Discovery market.
• Outstanding relationship-building and persuasion skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others.
• Willingness to travel ≥60% of the time.
• Comprehensive understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape.
• Proven success in developing and executing strategic account plans.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
