Senior Manager, Project Controls, Mechanical Estimator – Project & Development Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee all cost management functions for one or several intricate projects with an emphasis on mechanical trades, encompassing divisions 21, 22, and 23.

• Develop the cost management framework and deliverables for large-scale capital initiatives.

• Conduct quantity take-offs, analyses, estimates, and supplementary mechanical scope studies.

• Assess labor productivity utilizing suitable resources.

• Incorporate third-party plans and cost elements into integrated cost plans.

• Deliver comprehensive cost risk, issue, and mitigation analysis to project managers, clients, construction managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders.

• Lead project accruals and forecasting activities on a monthly, biweekly, and/or weekly schedule.

• Assist with risk management and quantitative risk assessments.

• Create and oversee earned value components of complex manufacturing programs.

• Aid in project control and the development of project execution plans.

• Review and authorize invoices from subcontractors and third parties.

• Provide support for RFPs, RFQs, and negotiations related to project contracts.

• Facilitate project estimate creation and value engineering efforts.

• Assist with cost management protocols for Cushman & Wakefield and its clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as a cost management specialist on capital projects, including both design and construction phases.

• Experience in mechanical estimating.

• Proficient in interpreting complex mechanical drawings and preparing quantity take-offs.

• Direct experience collaborating within a complex, matrixed environment.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Required experience in the construction industry.

• Preferred experience in data centers and life sciences.

• Strongly preferred additional experience in life sciences.
