Senior Manager, Product Design – Product Platform

📋 Description

• Oversee the design of CaptivateIQ's Product Platform and the associated customer experiences.

• Guide, mentor, and develop a team of product designers, including senior individual contributors.

• Establish the design strategy and quality standards in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.

• Actively address high-impact or ambiguous challenges as a player-coach.

• Ensure the quality of interaction and visual design across intricate product surfaces.

• Recognize cross-product implications and potential opportunities for shared design patterns.

• Advocate for Design in discussions regarding roadmaps, prioritization, and architectural decisions.

• Foster alignment and facilitate decision-making across teams through influential collaboration.

• Utilize research, product data, and customer insights to shape strategy and validate decisions.

• Promote the adoption and advancement of the Quotient design system.

• Advocate for AI-native product thinking and AI-assisted design methodologies.

• Report directly to the Head of Design while collaborating with Product and Engineering leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product design, particularly with complex, systems-level, platform, or infrastructure-related products.

• 3+ years of experience in managing product designers, including those at the senior level.

• Proven success in developing designers into roles with greater scope and responsibility.

• A portfolio showcasing strong product craftsmanship, systems thinking, and the ability to simplify technically complex experiences.

• Excellent visual and interaction design judgment.

• Experience in setting design strategies across interconnected product domains.

• Background in building, evolving, or managing a design system.

• Strong cross-functional leadership skills and influence over Product and Engineering decisions.

• Technical proficiency with architecture, data models, and platform limitations.

• Understanding of how AI is transforming product experiences and design practices.

• Experience in designing complex B2B SaaS or enterprise products is highly desirable.
