Director, Product Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand Product Design across the Demand Partnerships and Demand Gen domains, supervising multiple teams and designers.

• Establish and communicate a clear, compelling vision and guiding principle that directs product and experience decisions.

• Mentor and enhance the skills, talents, and career growth of designers.

• Collaborate with leaders in Product, Engineering, Research, Data, Business Development, and Marketing to shape strategy and drive business outcomes.

• Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, user-focused design solutions across teams.

• Create efficient team processes, operating models, and organizational structures to amplify design impact.

• Advocate for user-centered design and incorporate research and data into the decision-making process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in managing product designers, including senior-level professionals and/or managers.

• Demonstrated success in driving product vision and strategy within complex, cross-functional settings.

• High standards for visual, interaction, and systems thinking across various experiences.

• Capability to enhance quality through team efforts rather than individual contributions.

• Outstanding cross-functional leadership and influence at both senior and executive levels.

• Experience in building and scaling high-performing design teams and fostering inclusive team cultures.

• Strong commitment to user-centered design, with a solid partnership with Research and Data.

• Proven experience in leading product design for growth and/or demand-generation initiatives.

• Track record of enhancing acquisition, conversion, activation, and/or retention through experimentation, data, and user insights.

• Must be eligible to work remotely from Ontario or British Columbia, Canada; the application form also outlines supported U.S. states and the Philippines.

• A portfolio demonstrating relevant work is required.
