Senior Manager, Procurement Excellence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Establish, implement, and communicate optimal procurement practices and tools.

• Create, execute, and sustain the supplier risk management program.

• Formulate processes for managing supplier relationships.

• Promote procurement governance, policies, processes, and tools.

• Collaborate with stakeholder groups to facilitate the effective and efficient use of Strategic Sourcing procedures and operational tools.

• Educate, train, influence, and foster the consistent adoption of best practices across operational teams.

• Oversee the implementation of supplier risk management processes and tools.

• Design and spearhead initiatives aimed at reducing supply chain risks.

• Develop a comprehensive supplier relationship management program that includes evaluation criteria, selection, assessment of risk, quality, ongoing performance, and offboarding.

• Design, implement, deploy, and maintain procurement processes and the necessary supporting tools.

• Create metrics to evaluate procurement effectiveness.

• Formulate strategic plans for the adoption, enhancement, and development of procurement technology.

• Manage the drafting of procurement policies, procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work guidelines.

• Develop and deliver training programs for procurement and operations teams.

• Standardize and consolidate procurement practices, policies, and compliance reporting.

• Implement best practices as needed.

• Willingness to travel 15%-20%.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

• MBA is preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or a related field.

• Proven experience in leading the implementation of procurement processes and tools.

• Ability to lead by influencing others.

• Demonstrated success in achieving tangible results within a matrix organization.

• In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and support systems.

• Excellent communication and influencing abilities, with a collaborative mindset.

• Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to prioritize multiple projects.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

• CPSM certification is preferred but not mandatory.

• PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
