Senior Manager, Procure to Pay

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the Procure-to-Pay process from requisition and purchase order to receipt, invoice, approval, payment, and accrual.

• Integrate Procurement, Accounts Payable, Supplier Management, Payments, and Close into a unified operating model.

• Develop and enforce policies, controls, SLAs/KPIs, approval matrices, and ensure SOX audit readiness.

• Guarantee the accurate and prompt processing of requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices.

• Ensure the completeness of accruals and liability reconciliations for financial closing.

• Create standards for supplier onboarding and master data management.

• Manage the integrity of payment runs, oversee banking batch processes, and prevent fraud and duplicate payments.

• Address escalated payment and process issues, preventing recurrence through root-cause analysis.

• Collaborate with suppliers, Procurement, Finance, Legal, IT, and business stakeholders on automation and transformation initiatives.

• Report on P2P performance metrics using KPIs such as touchless invoice rates, on-time payments, cycle times, exception rates, and DPO.

• Enhance working capital through strategic payment terms and early-pay discounts.

• Monitor supplier risk, contract compliance, purchase-order adherence, and vendor spending visibility.

• Implement policy, process, and system updates, tracking their adoption.

• Elevate internal stakeholder and supplier satisfaction through CSAT/NPS feedback.

• Present quarterly business reviews to senior and executive stakeholders.

• Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team.

• Maintain documented processes, training, performance calibration, and accountability.

• Build training, onboarding, and succession plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in procure-to-pay, accounts payable, or procurement operations.

• 5+ years of experience managing teams and managers.

• Proven end-to-end P2P expertise across various domains.

• Experience in aligning cross-functional dependencies.

• Background in operational governance, including SLAs, KPIs, internal controls, and audit/SOX compliance.

• Experience in managing a team budget.

• Proven track record in managing vendor relationships.

• Experience leading remote teams across different time zones.

• Skilled in developing and presenting executive-level quarterly business reviews.

• Proven ability to enhance stakeholder satisfaction.

• Capability to develop, train, and calibrate teams to a consistent standard.

• ERP experience, preferably with NetSuite.

• Familiarity with P2P platforms such as Zip, Coupa, or Ariba.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or supply chain.

• APM, CPSM, CPA, or equivalent certifications preferred.

• Ability to resolve complex issues with straightforward solutions.

• Strong collaborative, strategic-thinking, and influencing skills.

• Experience in scaling P2P operations in a fast-growing, multi-entity, multi-currency setting.

• Lean Six Sigma or similar process-improvement credentials, along with experience in automation and AI.
