Senior Manager, Policy and External Relations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of public policy, advocacy, and external relations strategies that align with the organization's priorities.

• Keep track of political, regulatory, and sector changes that affect aged care, healthcare, and social services.

• Draft submissions, briefing notes, position papers, consultation responses, and advocacy materials.

• Establish and nurture relationships with government entities, regulators, industry organizations, and key external stakeholders.

• Organize stakeholder engagement activities, meetings, briefs, and follow-up actions in collaboration with senior leaders.

• Contribute to evidence-based policy formulation through research, analysis, and internal consultations.

• Collaborate closely with senior leaders to advance public advocacy, government relations, and policy initiatives.

• Aid in positioning Bolton Clarke as a credible authority in aged care, healthcare, and social services.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in policy, government relations, public affairs, advocacy, or stakeholder engagement.

• Proven track record in producing high-quality submissions, briefing documents, and policy analyses.

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities with government, regulators, industry, and internal leadership groups.

• Comprehensive knowledge of policy, legislative, and regulatory frameworks affecting complex service organizations.

• Excellent research, communication, persuasive influence, and judgment skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Tertiary qualifications in public policy, political science, law, economics, communications, business, or a related discipline.

• A strong dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion.
