Senior Manager of Sourcing and Procurement – Grinds

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Supervise all replenishment activities within the designated region.

• Educate staff to ensure the implementation of consistent processes and procedures.

• Evaluate performance outcomes against set KPI targets.

• Address issues, initiate corrective measures, and make necessary decisions.

• Maintain clear communication among all parties involved.

• Act as a subject matter expert for replenishment activities.

• Enhance existing processes and develop future solutions with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Offer insights on market trends, market calls for pricing, national pricing strategies, and strategic purchases across the national platform.

• Function as a working manager accountable for significant strategic purchases.

• Lead Commodity Intel research and market evaluations.

• Assist the sales team as a subject matter expert directly engaging with select large accounts.

• Work in partnership with sales on inventory management and margin optimization.

• Oversee national inventory positioning and manage excess and obsolete inventory.

• Directly supervise Commodity Managers at Stock Yards (3) and PSSA.

• Manage relationships with Stock Yards vendors and customers.

• Be available for overnight travel as necessary for training sessions, meetings, or other company events.


⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience with Grinds is preferred.

• Basic computer proficiency is required.

• Familiarity with MS Office is necessary.

• At least 7 years of purchasing experience in the protein sector is required.

• A minimum of five years of management experience with Buyers is essential.

• Overnight travel may be necessary for training sessions, meetings, or other company-related events.

• Proven ability to lead, manage, and train others effectively.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance or input.

• Must meet performance objectives consistently.

• Exhibit a high level of diplomacy, tact, tenacity, and persistence to interact effectively with other stakeholders.

• Must demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.

• A bachelor's degree in a related field or 10 years of equivalent work experience is required.

• Must be capable of performing the listed physical activities for the necessary durations.
