
Senior Manager, Network Engineering – Americas

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Collaborate with peer leaders and solution architects to define the network engineering strategy and technology roadmap for the Americas region.
• Oversee execution, delivery, and budget management for the Americas region.
• Modernize the Wide Area Network (WAN) utilizing SD-WAN and SASE architectures.
• Enhance network observability maturity through the use of monitoring, telemetry, and automation platforms.
• Manage capital and operating expense planning, vendor and circuit cost management, and development of business cases.
• Lead contract negotiations and maintain strategic relationships with vendors and carriers.
• Lead, develop, and expand the network engineering team across North America and Latin America.
• Deliver network engineering projects across WAN, data center, cloud networking, and wireless initiatives.
• Act as a senior escalation point for network infrastructure issues, driving root cause analysis and long-term reliability enhancements.
• Ensure alignment of Americas delivery with global reference designs and standards, in collaboration with EMEA network engineering, the Principal Architect, and solution architects.
• Manage staffing plans, budget adherence, and resource allocation across the Americas team.
• Present technology strategy, budget requests, and program updates to VP and executive stakeholders.
• Represent the Americas network engineering function in leadership planning and discussions regarding future organizational design.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in network engineering, encompassing routing, switching, WAN, data center, and cloud networking technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience in leading and developing network engineering teams, including managing managers or senior individual contributors.
• Direct, hands-on experience in designing, deploying, or operating SD-WAN and SASE architectures at an enterprise scale.
• Experience in building or enhancing network observability programs, including telemetry, monitoring, and automation.
• Proven ownership of a multi-million-dollar network budget, including capital planning, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering network projects across multiple sites or regions, ensuring enterprise-scale reliability.
• Excellent executive communication skills, with a history of presenting strategy and budget to VP or C-suite stakeholders.
• Experience managing distributed teams across various sites in North America and Latin America.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent SD-WAN and security vendor certifications.
• Background in a global IT distribution, technology services, or similarly complex enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with network security and voice or unified communications disciplines.
• Experience in building or scaling a team through organizational change or M&A integration.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
• Capable of creating and delivering formal presentations.
• Able to interact effectively with all management levels.
• Skilled in negotiation, promoting/selling ideas persuasively, and closing transactions with mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a willingness to lead, innovate, and be assertive.
