Senior Manager, Identity Operations – Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of WEX’s Joiner, Mover, and Leaver identity lifecycle outcomes.

• Co-facilitate the IAM Governance Council, driving policy reviews, prioritizing backlogs, minimizing risks, fostering continuous improvement, and defining KPIs/KRIs.

• Establish business and technical requirements for automated lifecycle workflows, encompassing Workday-based Birthright access and event-triggered Mover processes.

• Lead and develop IAM Operations and IAM Engineering teams, which include Active Directory engineers.

• Collaborate with the Information Security SailPoint Administration/Configuration team on validated integration data and platform configurations.

• Assist in the transition from SailPoint IdentityIQ to SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.

• Centralize access requests within SailPoint ISC and phase out the legacy Employee Service Portal/JSM IAM routing.

• Shift termination processing from batch synchronization to an event-driven model for immediate access revocation.

• Ensure that engineering, integration, and operational tasks adhere to ITSM/ITIL standards.

• Promote automation, reduce toil, enhance observability, and improve operational performance.

• Supervise the health, security, lifecycle management, availability, and integration of the enterprise directory service with SailPoint.

• Define directory service architecture standards, modernize infrastructure, optimize group policy management, and streamline authentication protocols to support zero trust.

• Act as a technical liaison to Application Owners, facilitating the onboarding of hundreds of applications into SailPoint ISC.

• Create a tiered, risk-based application onboarding backlog and framework.

• Standardize identity data payloads and link identities to Global Workday IDs.

• Manage connector factory preparation, including data mapping, payload sanitization, and pre-production testing.

• Replace manual service desk tickets with automated, API-driven provisioning workflows.

• Develop scalable ABAC/RBAC role models in collaboration with business leaders.

• Streamline approximately 10,600 entitlements into a self-service request catalog.

• Design roles that enforce Segregation of Duties boundaries.

• Consolidate role definitions and ownership assignments in SailPoint.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of technical leadership experience in Identity and Access Management.

• Experience functioning as a Product Owner, Solutions Architect, or Operations/Engineering Manager.

• Proven track record of executing enterprise-level IAM transformations successfully.

• Strong architectural comprehension of SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) data models.

• Proficiency with API/SCIM integrations.

• Familiarity with Active Directory (AD).

• Experience with Workday as a primary HR source.

• Proficient with enterprise ITSM platforms.

• Relevant industry certifications are necessary, including CIAM, CISSP, CISM, ITIL v4 Foundation/Strategic Leader, or SailPoint-specific certifications.

• In-depth understanding of ITSM/ITIL frameworks.

• Demonstrated ability to apply observability and toil reduction principles to operational workflows.

• Capability to co-lead governance committees.

• Ability to collaborate with decentralized application owners and work with Information Security administration teams.

• Experience in designing and implementing RBAC, ABAC, or hybrid access control frameworks.

• Knowledge of least-privilege security architectures.

• Familiarity with Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls.

• Experience with identity lifecycle, provisioning automation, directory services, and SailPoint integrations.
