Senior Manager, Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Oversee all functions of the engineering department

• Lead departmental efforts to innovate new products and enhance current designs

• Enhance production methods and establish testing protocols

• Evaluate technology trends, workforce requirements, and market needs to strategize projects

• Collaborate with management, production, and marketing teams concerning engineering feasibility, cost efficiency, and customer requirements

• Anticipate departmental operating expenses and oversee the creation of budget proposals

• Manage recruitment, hiring processes, performance assessments, salary reviews, disciplinary actions, terminations, and other personnel matters

• Supervise professional staff and/or team leaders while managing intricate technical, business support, or production operations

• Take ownership of team performance, outcomes, budgets, and operational goals

• Offer technical support to employees, peers, and/or clients

• Resolve issues impacting areas beyond the immediate team

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

• Bachelor's degree

• Capability to manage all functions of the engineering department

• Proficiency in directing product design, modifying existing designs, improving production techniques, and developing testing procedures

• Expertise in analyzing technology trends, workforce demands, and market conditions

• Skill in assessing engineering feasibility, cost efficiency, and customer needs

• Competence in forecasting departmental operating costs and preparing budget requests

• Experience in overseeing recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, salary adjustments, disciplinary measures, terminations, and other personnel activities

• Ability to manage professional staff and/or supervisors or lead large, complex technical, business support, or production operations teams

• Proficient in providing technical guidance across related disciplines
