Senior Manager, Developer Evangelism

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Motivate and equip developers to utilize Twilio products while ensuring a remarkable developer experience.

• Serve as a proactive and genuine leader within the developer community, both online and offline.

• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and align with program and engagement goals.

• Define and take ownership of the Developer Evangelism strategy for the Americas region.

• Communicate project plans, progress, and results to stakeholders throughout the company.

• Practice servant leadership and aid in the professional development of regional Evangelists.

• Establish success metrics and enhance Evangelism projects, programs, and collaborative initiatives.

• Contribute to the strategy of the Developer Network as part of the extended leadership team.

• Report directly to the Director.

• Mentor and cultivate the next generation of Developer Evangelists.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Sales teams.

• Represent the regional team while engaging with all levels of Twilio leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Community, or related fields.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in team leadership or people management.

• Proven track record in leading initiatives within Developer Relations, Community, and/or Developer Marketing.

• Experience working cross-functionally across the organization and at scale.

• Proficient in mentoring and guiding individual contributors.

• Demonstrated experience in authentically serving and supporting developer communities.

• Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with sales, support, product, marketing, and other stakeholders.

• Strong creative and collaborative problem-solving abilities with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making.

• Excellent storytelling skills to showcase developers using Twilio and inspire others.

• Knowledgeable about the developer and industry landscape in North America and Latin America, including local communities, events, and programs.

• Familiar with project management tools and methodologies.

• Ability to influence and foster effective working relationships across all organizational levels.

• Experience navigating the evolving technology landscape.

• Understanding of how to organize and execute developer program activities.

• Previous experience in leading relevant functions within Developer Relations.

• Experience supporting developers through Developer Evangelism and/or related Developer Relations functions in a specific region.

• Professional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is preferred.
