Senior Manager, Creative Operations

📋 Description

• Oversee the operational framework for HOKA’s creative marketing initiatives.

• Take charge of the Creative Project Management model, including capacity planning, workload oversight, prioritization, intake processes, resource allocation, workflows, standard operating procedures, tools, and systems.

• Develop and sustain comprehensive campaign workflows while clarifying roles, processes, handoffs, and delivery expectations.

• Create and enhance creative review and approval procedures.

• Directly supervise the Creative Project Management sub-team.

• Mentor and cultivate the team’s skills in project management, operational thinking, stakeholder engagement, and influence.

• Collaborate with the Director of Global PM on planning headcount, onboarding, and team structure.

• Convert campaign strategies and business objectives into actionable creative briefs.

• Connect regional and global creative workstreams, ensuring adaptations align with global brand standards.

• Facilitate weekly and bi-weekly creative meetings.

• Oversee operations for creative freelancers and contractors, including sourcing, interviews, contracts, onboarding, and budget management.

• Report on creative operations KPIs, resource utilization, timelines, delivery health, and potential risks.

• Coordinate with creative agencies and vendors to ensure accountability, clear scopes of work, and timely project delivery.

• Maintain the definitive source of truth for brand systems, design standards, and creative toolkits within creative operations.

• Develop frameworks and playbooks for cross-functional collaboration with Creative.

• Manage operational governance and continuous improvement of creative systems, including digital asset management.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.

• PMP certification is a plus.

• 7+ years of experience in creative operations, project management, or marketing operations within a consumer brand.

• Strong brand experience in complex, matrixed, global organizations.

• Experience in building and scaling creative operations systems, workflows, governance models, and tools.

• 3+ years of direct people management experience leading a project management or creative operations team.

• Experience managing internal creative studios and external agency/vendor partnerships in a global brand setting.

• A background in campaign development, content creation, or brand marketing operations is strongly preferred.

• Ability to convert business strategy into actionable creative briefs, operational plans, and executable workflows.

• Experience in defining operational KPIs, reporting cadences, and utilizing insights for decision-making and ongoing improvement.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to lead through influence without direct authority.

• Understanding of creative team dynamics, culture, and workflows.

• Strong leadership abilities.

• Familiarity with creative development, campaign workflows, design processes, and production lifecycles.

• Ability to translate strategic goals into creative briefs, project plans, and execution frameworks.

• Strong data management and reporting skills.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize competing demands.

• Meticulous attention to detail, adaptability, and capacity to manage ambiguity.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.

• Proficient in Asana, monday.com, and Airtable; experience with DAM systems is preferred.

• Willingness to travel domestically.

• Candidates must reside in Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, or Washington.
