Senior Manager, Accounting and Controllership

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Configure, manage, and enhance the BlackLine Intercompany Create, Balance & Resolve, and Net & Settle processes.

• Assist with intercompany templates, workflows, matching rules, dispute management, and transaction automation.

• Collaborate with global process owners to ensure settlements across entities are compliant, accurate, and timely.

• Diagnose intercompany transaction problems, data discrepancies, and workflow delays, addressing root causes.

• Develop future-state intercompany processes utilizing automation, AI recommendations, and enhanced controls.

• Oversee BlackLine configuration, user management, roles, permissions, and workflows.

• Mentor and guide offshore team members on BlackLine modules.

• Manage data integrations, schedules, and data quality controls across ERP and source systems.

• Keep system documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures up to date.

• Provide end-user support, guidance, and best practices to global teams.

• Assist in the deployment of Intercompany Accounting, Studio 360, and Agentic AI.

• Collaborate with program leadership, Finance SMEs, system integrators, and technical teams on design and implementation.

• Support functional, integration, and UAT testing.

• Aid in change management, training deployment, and communications.

• Engage in the redesign of the financial close process and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Monitor hypercare support post-go-live and stabilize any arising issues.

• Minimal travel required for Hartford-area candidates; up to 25% travel during project phases for non-local candidates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience at RTX, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 7 years of experience.

• At least 5 years of in-depth understanding of financial close processes, particularly intercompany accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with system implementations or major enhancement initiatives.

• At least 5 years demonstrating strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• A minimum of 3 years of practical BlackLine administration experience, or equivalent experience with financial systems.

• Experience with BlackLine project deployments, particularly in Intercompany Accounting, Matching, Journals, or AI-based workflows.

• Familiarity with Studio 360 configuration concepts.

• Understanding of SAP data structures and integration points.

• Prior experience with RTX intercompany processes is highly beneficial.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. without future company immigration sponsorship.
