Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Infrastructure Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Execute IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming tasks.

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for software utilizing SMP/E.

• Administer mainframe software applications.

• Collaborate with JCL and ISPF/TSO environments.

• Oversee and support VTAM and TCP/IP services.

• Work with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool tools.

• Contribute to the infrastructure, architecture, and design of mainframe systems.

• Utilize BMC AMI tools, including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Provide technical leadership while supporting project/program management and facilitating stakeholder communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with IBM z/OS / MVS Systems Programming.

• Proficient in SMP/E software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and support.

• Familiarity with mainframe software installation and administration.

• Experience working with JCL and ISPF/TSO.

• Knowledge of VTAM and TCP/IP protocols.

• Proficiency with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.

• Understanding of mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture, and design principles.

• Experience using BMC AMI tools such as AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Ability to provide technical leadership, manage projects/programs, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
