Senior Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the initial response and resolution for issues related to Kubernetes clusters, GitLab and CI runners, virtual machines, standalone systems, and demo environments.

• Collaborate with IT and the product software team to triage issues when the root cause is identified on their end.

• Transform recurring issues into automation solutions, alerts, and runbooks.

• Enhance monitoring and alerting systems to minimize false alarms and expedite the identification of genuine problems.

• Conduct upgrades, patching, certificate renewals, and capacity assessments.

• Deliver automation and infrastructure enhancements.

• Engage in on-call duties.

• Contribute to the design and development efforts across the team’s systems.

• Analyze and resolve infrastructure issues comprehensively, escalating to IT or product software when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience operating production Linux systems, including practical Kubernetes troubleshooting.

• Strong methodical debugging skills across various system layers.

• Proficiency in scripting with Python and/or Bash.

• Familiarity with CI/CD systems, with a preference for GitLab.

• Working knowledge of DNS, routing, load balancing, and TLS protocols.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

• Ability to communicate clearly under pressure, including providing concise updates on incident status.

• A strong drive and curiosity to learn about unfamiliar systems and inference systems.

• Preferred: Experience with GPU or accelerator nodes within Kubernetes environments.

• Preferred: Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform.

• Preferred: Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana.

• Preferred: Background in bare metal or on-premises infrastructure.

• Preferred: CKA or CKAD certification.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
