Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Infrastructure Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Execute IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming tasks

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for software utilizing SMP/E

• Manage mainframe software applications

• Utilize JCL and ISPF/TSO in operations

• Provide support for VTAM and TCP/IP protocols

• Work with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool tools

• Contribute to the infrastructure, architecture, and design of mainframe systems

• Employ BMC AMI tools, including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management

• Offer technical leadership and oversee project/program management

• Engage in communication with stakeholders

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with IBM z/OS / MVS Systems Programming

• Proficiency in SMP/E for software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and support

• Background in mainframe software installation and administration

• Familiarity with JCL and ISPF/TSO

• Understanding of VTAM and TCP/IP

• Experience with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool

• Competence in mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture, and design

• Proficient in using BMC AMI tools like AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management

• Proven ability in technical leadership, project/program management, and stakeholder communication
