Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Robotics & Computer Vision

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the AI/ML/Vision core for the robotics automation product.

• Collaborate closely with the CTO and Co-founder to ensure ML capabilities align with the technical strategy.

• Develop custom training loops and design as well as implement neural network architectures.

• Oversee the complete lifecycle from raw data processing to training, fine-tuning, and deployment at the edge.

• Create AI/ML/Vision components for the Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

• Define the AI/ML stack and model architecture.

• Stay updated on trends in AI, computer vision, and robotics.

• Mentor new engineers as the AI/ML team expands.

• Convert customer insights and market demands into solid AI/ML technical specifications.

• Contribute to maintaining code quality, ownership, rapid iteration, and high execution standards.

• Integrate AI capabilities into a commercially viable physical robotics product.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of comprehensive Deep Learning experience.

• Demonstrated history of engineering advanced Computer Vision systems in the industrial automation field.

• Profound knowledge of contemporary deep learning tools, with a preference for PyTorch.

• Experience in writing custom data loaders and loss functions.

• Practical experience with CNNs, ViTs, object detection, and segmentation.

• Proven ability to build and deploy ML components in real, production-ready applications.

• Pragmatic, analytical mindset, and comfortable in fast-paced, uncertain startup environments.

• Proficient in both Polish and English, spoken and written.

• Experience with hardware control/integration of AI models with physical systems, robotics, embedded systems, or IoT is a plus.

• Familiarity with ROS/ROS2, simulation environments, and control systems is an advantage.

• Background in robotics automation platforms, cloud-edge architecture, or industrial automation is beneficial.

• Experience in deep-tech, robotics, or engineering-focused startups is a plus.

• Previous leadership experience is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Legal authorization to work within the EU is required.
