This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create solutions by leveraging data analysis and threat research, AI, machine learning, and data engineering to automate the process of security analysis.
• Convert risk identification techniques into agent logic for comprehensive risk analysis, including explanations and recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with threat-research teams to gain insights into data, threats, and security heuristics.
• Determine and address data requirements necessary for effective analysis.
• Partner with data engineering teams to develop pipelines, enrichments, and aggregations.
• Utilize data-driven quality methodologies for threat detection, encompassing backtesting, precision/recall balancing, tuning, and quality control measures.
• Implement and oversee solutions in a production environment using a CI/CD framework.
• Proven experience in building LLM-powered agents in a production setting, which includes tool and function calling, prompt and context engineering, and multi-step orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChain, as well as evaluating non-deterministic outputs against ground truth.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Python development.
• Capability to design and sustain production-quality systems featuring validated inputs, data contracts, comprehensive unit tests, and integration tests.
• Proficient hands-on experience with SQL and Python data analytics libraries, including pandas, Polars, and NumPy.
• Experience ensuring production reliability with CI/CD, containerization, structured logging and metrics, observability and alerting, on-call participation, and incident debugging in distributed systems.
• Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure-as-code within an AWS environment.
• Senior-level accountability and leadership in project management, development, and testing.
• Preferred: experience with production AI or ML systems focusing on cost, latency, accuracy, model selection, routing, and regression testing.
• Preferred: background in cyber threat research, threat modeling, threat hunting, detection engineering, data-driven risk analysis, fraud detection, adversary profiling and targeting, actuarial risk, or related collaboration.
• Preferred: data engineering experience with large-volume event-data pipelines, SQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Athena/Presto or similar technologies, schema evolution, backfills, and data quality validation.
