Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Ads Creative Effectiveness

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement cutting-edge pipelines for generating ad creatives.

• Develop systems for the preservation of products, fonts, logos, and brand assets utilizing techniques such as IP-Adapters and LoRAs.

• Create image and video editing functionalities for smart cropping, inpainting, outpainting, resizing, and style transfer.

• Fine-tune large vision-language models to grasp effective advertising aesthetics.

• Establish feedback loops utilizing CTR and CVR metrics to refine generation through RLHF/RLPF for advertisements.

• Construct filtering and safety systems to avert non-compliant, unsafe, or copyright-infringing content.

• Collaborate with teams across Product, Sales, Policy, UX, and Ads ML.

• Integrate Ads Creative Effectiveness features into the Ad Manager UI and ad delivery process.

• Incorporate brand-safety filters, copyright checks, and escalation paths involving human oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with tree models, neural networks, ranking, and particularly LLM/VLM fine-tuning and RLHF/RLPF for advertisements.

• Familiarity with uplift metrics, variance, minimum detectable effects, and experimental setups for generative systems.

• Knowledge of auction dynamics and the challenges faced by advertisers.

• Capability to simplify complex ML trade-offs for executives, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders.

• Previous experience in ad creative tools, including headline generators, image generators, pre-test models, or advertiser editing workflows.

• Experience managing brand-safety, privacy, or copyright frameworks in generative AI products (preferred).
