Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Design and develop essential machine learning systems for an innovative, forward-thinking AI platform.

• Take full ownership of projects, from data curation and model training to evaluation, inference, and ongoing iteration.

• Convert advanced research concepts into robust and dependable production systems.

• Utilize live production signals and data to diagnose model anomalies and eliminate system bottlenecks.

• Implement systems, assess real-world performance metrics, enhance methodologies, and iterate swiftly.

• Collaborate with research, engineering, and product teams to translate technical achievements into user value.

• Provide mentorship to fellow engineers and conduct thorough code and technical reviews.

• Optimize model architectures for latency, computational expense, reliability, and safety at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a Machine Learning position.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Experience with PyTorch and/or JAX.

• Familiarity with GPU-based training and inference systems.

• Proven experience in building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning systems actively utilized in real-world scenarios.

• Strong practical understanding of the behavior and failure modes of modern ML models in live production.

• Ability to address production model edge cases effectively.

• Demonstrated history of writing clean, robust, production-grade code.

• An architectural mindset that goes beyond simple scripting.

• High level of self-direction and initiative.

• Proven ability to independently advance complex technical projects from concept to launch.

• Capability to quickly grasp new concepts.

• Skill in clearly communicating technical trade-offs.
