Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Design and develop fundamental machine learning systems for an advanced, proactive AI platform.

• Take ownership of projects from inception to completion, encompassing data curation, model training, evaluation, inference, and ongoing iteration.

• Convert research ideas into sturdy, dependable production systems.

• Utilize live production signals and data to diagnose model discrepancies and system bottlenecks.

• Implement systems, assess real-world performance metrics, enhance methodologies, and iterate swiftly.

• Collaborate with research, engineering, and product teams to align technical milestones with user benefits.

• Guide fellow engineers and perform thorough code and technical reviews.

• Enhance model architectures for latency, computational efficiency, reliability, and safety at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Machine Learning position.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with PyTorch and/or JAX.

• Experience with GPU-based training and inference systems.

• Proven experience in building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning systems in real-world settings.

• Strong practical knowledge of modern ML model behaviors and potential failure modes in production environments.

• Capability to address production edge cases effectively.

• Established record of writing clean, robust, and production-quality code.

• An architectural mindset that goes beyond basic scripting.

• A high level of self-direction and initiative.

• Ability to independently manage complex technical projects from conception to launch.

• Quick aptitude for grasping new concepts.

• Skill in articulating technical trade-offs clearly.
