Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Design and develop essential machine learning systems for a proactive, forward-thinking AI platform.

• Take full ownership of projects from data curation and model training to evaluation, inference, and ongoing iteration.

• Convert research ideas into robust, highly dependable production systems.

• Utilize live production signals and data to identify and resolve model anomalies and system bottlenecks.

• Deploy systems, assess real-world performance metrics, refine strategies, and iterate swiftly.

• Collaborate with research, engineering, and product teams to align technical milestones with user value.

• Guide fellow engineers and perform thorough code and technical reviews.

• Enhance model architectures for latency, computational efficiency, reliability, and safety at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a Machine Learning capacity.

• Proficient in Python, PyTorch / JAX, and GPU-based training and inference systems.

• Proven experience in building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning systems that are actively utilized in real-world settings.

• Strong practical knowledge of the behavior and failure modes of modern ML models in live production.

• Capability to address production edge cases effectively.

• Established track record of writing clean, robust, production-grade code with an architectural perspective.

• High level of self-direction and initiative.

• Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex technical projects from inception to launch.

• Quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts rapidly.

• Skilled in clearly communicating technical trade-offs.
