Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with teams from Data Science, Data Engineering, Cloud Center of Excellence, DevOps, and Delivery Platforms.

• Design scalable machine learning solutions utilizing AWS, Databricks, and Spark.

• Establish automated data and modeling pipelines.

• Integrate and deploy features of machine learning software.

• Lead the enhancement of scalable and resilient CI/CD workflows.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues and bugs, including AppSec vulnerabilities.

• Promote the adoption of best practices in machine learning engineering.

• Contribute to the development of formal training programs and resources for MLE tool adoption.

• Engage in cross-functional meetings and discussions to align requirements and ensure project success.

• Architect, develop, and optimize machine learning solutions and infrastructure for Paylocity’s HR and payroll platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in machine learning engineering at software companies, or an advanced degree in a quantitative field without any additional experience required.

• Experience in production-grade machine learning models and infrastructure using Python.

• Strong foundation in advanced Python and big data technologies.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like CDK or Pulumi.

• Capability to leverage machine learning engineering to achieve business outcomes.

• Proficiency in translating business challenges into machine learning engineering tasks and effectively communicating results to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to collaborate effectively as well as work independently.

• Comprehensive understanding of data engineering and software engineering principles.

• Self-driven, adaptable, and highly detail-oriented.

• Capacity to sit for extended durations, typically between 7–8 hours per day.

• Competence in operating computers and phone systems while using multiple software applications concurrently.
