Senior Machine Learning Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Design and implement comprehensive document intelligence pipelines on AWS.

• Develop and enhance machine learning models for document classification, segmentation, and field extraction.

• Construct scalable data processing systems capable of handling PDFs of up to 2000 pages.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to define and refine extraction requirements.

• Take ownership of features from research to production deployment and monitoring.

• Create evaluation frameworks and quality metrics to assess extraction accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Python (including native, Pandas, ScikitLearn, Tensorflow or Pytorch, PyStats, Pydantic).

• Proficient in SQL and Data Modeling.

• Experience with GenAI for document intelligence, encompassing prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), multi-modal models (vision + text), and production deployment utilizing AWS Bedrock or Azure OpenAI APIs.

• Background in experiment design, including power analysis and hypothesis testing.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for a remote and predominantly asynchronous work setting.

• Proven ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly and concisely, while proposing iterative solutions.

• Experience managing a feature from conception to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution phases.

• Familiarity with AWS tools for machine learning engineering and deployment.

• Experience with document processing tools (such as AWS Textract, Azure Document Intelligence, or similar OCR/layout detection systems).

• Knowledge of AWS big data technologies (including Redshift, S3, EMR, Glue, etc.).
