Senior M&A Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and risk assessment for potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including financial modeling, valuation, and evaluation of target companies utilizing complex datasets.

• Analyze software revenue streams, user engagement metrics, and SaaS performance to assess customer cohorts and emerging trends.

• Perform thorough P&L and balance sheet analysis, evaluate accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) reports, and create pro forma financial statements for acquisitions, highlighting cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities.

• Carry out bank reconciliations, review accounting elements, and evaluate software integration complexities with a focus on strategies tailored to specific cohorts.

• Develop reports and presentations that summarize findings from due diligence efforts.

• Oversee and mentor a team of analysts, providing guidance and coaching in reviewing and managing their work.

• Work collaboratively with Accounting, operations, and business development teams to determine strategic alignment and potential synergies in M&A transactions.

• Supervise ongoing M&A transactions, manage post-acquisition integration activities, and track performance outcomes.

• Aid in the enhancement of financial models, tools, and templates to boost the precision and efficiency of financial analysis.

• Prepare regular investor reports.

• Engage in ad-hoc projects as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.

• An MBA or CFA designation is advantageous.

• At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis and M&A within a fast-paced business environment.

• Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, due diligence procedures, cohort analysis, bank reconciliation, and accounting principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex financial information to non-financial audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, excelling in multitasking in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
