Senior M365 Messaging Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture, deployment, and upkeep of Microsoft Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments.

• Manage, configure, and enhance Proofpoint Email Protection, Threat Response, TAP, and DLP policies.

• Administer Microsoft Defender for Office 365, along with SPF/DKIM/DMARC policies and TLS configurations.

• Act as a subject matter expert in email routing, delivery troubleshooting, mail flow policies, and message trace analysis.

• Implement best practices for email retention, legal hold, eDiscovery, and compliance measures.

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, and system administration tasks.

• Provide Tier 3 support and guidance to junior engineers and IT support teams.

• Lead migrations and integrations related to the Messaging Service, including support for acquisitions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in architecting and maintaining Microsoft messaging and collaboration solutions.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

• At least 5 years of professional experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC email authentication protocols.

• Proficiency with secure mail gateway configurations.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Compliance Center.

• Experience working with Proofpoint.

• Background in email encryption solutions.

• Strong skills in PowerShell scripting for Exchange and Microsoft 365 administration.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation abilities.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
