Senior Localization Engineer – Autonomous Vehicles

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create and develop reliable and precise solutions for map-enhanced autonomous driving, keeping ASIL safety standards in focus.

• Localize map data to deliver the most accurate and comprehensive representation of the surroundings of the vehicle, extending beyond the perception horizon.

• Ensure algorithms function effectively on extensive amounts of both real and synthetic data across various environments and conditions.

• Write secure, highly efficient real-time C++ code utilizing the algorithmic parallelism provided by GPGPU programming in CUDA.

• Transform software for practical deployment in consumer vehicles, adhering to automotive quality and safety regulations (MISRA, ISO26262).

• Collaborate across various teams and work cohesively within a closely-knit group.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD with over 2 years, MS with more than 4 years, or BS (or equivalent experience) with at least 6 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in computer vision, 3D geometry, mapping, localization, or related technologies.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Attention to detail in software craftsmanship using modern C++.

• A strong grounding in linear algebra and geometric computer vision.

• Considerable industry experience in the aforementioned areas.

• Proven experience in developing real-time Computer Vision systems.

• Familiarity with CUDA parallel programming.
