Senior Level Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to plan and develop level content.

• Present and advocate ideas to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Design and create maps, arenas, objectives, and combat areas from initial concept to final blockout.

• Produce blockouts that effectively convey flow, scale, player positioning, sightlines, cover, and traversal.

• Rapidly iterate based on playtest results and feedback from the team.

• Conduct playtesting on the work of colleagues and offer constructive feedback.

• Partner with Mechanics and AI Designers and Engineers to develop unique gameplay mechanics and enhance tools.

• Collaborate with Environment Artists to transform gameplay blockouts into polished environments while maintaining gameplay integrity.

• Take ownership of the design and construction of engaging, clear, and strategically rich spaces that support core mechanics, combat, and movement systems.


⛳️ Requirements

• A deep passion for action games on Console and/or PC.

• Expertise in design and 3D level building.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Level Design.

• Proficiency in using industry-standard engines such as UE5 and/or Unity.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to take direction effectively, meet deadlines, and mentor junior team members.

• Strong knowledge of game design, including the ability to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of recent games and the techniques used to create enjoyable levels and systems.

• A portfolio showcasing high-quality shipped/playable Level Design work.

• Skills in drawing, art, or Photoshop are advantageous.

• Technical skills and experience with common scripting languages are a plus.

• Advanced 3D construction skills beyond blockout-quality geometry are a plus.
