Senior Lead, Software Engineering Specialist – Workday Benefits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain Benefits solutions utilizing Workday as the primary system of record.

• Act as a subject matter expert in Workday Benefits, overseeing solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment in alignment with global business requirements.

• Collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, and downstream teams to deliver precise, compliant, and scalable solutions that meet both daily operational needs and changing business demands.

• Convert business requirements into Workday configuration solutions, providing guidance on best practices, identifying impacts across connected domains, and ensuring solutions are both sustainable and maintainable.

• Work together with integration partners and technical teams as necessary, emphasizing functional configuration, solution quality, and business outcomes over custom development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in Workday configuration, with a strong focus on Benefits.

• Demonstrated capability to independently design and implement Workday configuration solutions from requirements gathering to deployment.

• Solid understanding of benefits and payroll-related business processes, including their downstream impacts.

• Experience in supporting production Workday environments, including troubleshooting and making configuration adjustments in live systems.

• Background in supporting global or multi-country Workday deployments.

• Knowledge of Workday business process frameworks, security considerations, and reporting impacts related to Time and Absence.

• Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable, maintainable Workday solutions using best-practice configuration methods.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills within an enterprise, cross-functional setting.

• Experience configuring one or more additional Workday functional areas, such as Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, or Projects.

• Experience working within a matrixed or global team environment.
