Senior / Lead Developer – Core Data Services, SAP BTP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and development of Core Data Services for customer-facing portal applications utilizing SAP BTP and SAP RISE, adhering to Clean Core principles.

• Establish and uphold technical and architectural concepts.

• Assist in quality gates and ensure compliance with project and enterprise architecture standards.

• Design and execute modular services using RAP and CAP.

• Implement integrations via the SAP BTP Integration Suite.

• Create secure authentication and authorization strategies, encompassing XSUAA, role management, and access control frameworks.

• Provide technical guidance through code reviews, mentoring, release governance, documentation, and deployment readiness activities.

• Maintain end-to-end technical ownership up to the go-live phase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of direct software development experience on SAP BTP, preferably within Clean Core transformation projects.

• Demonstrated proficiency with RAP and/or CAP along with the development of enterprise-grade cloud applications.

• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and security principles on SAP BTP, including XSUAA and role-based access management.

• Hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, Agentic AI concepts, and Human-in-the-Loop implementation methodologies.

• Proven capability to take charge of architecture and solution design while leading delivery in agile development teams.

• Extensive knowledge in AI-enabled solutions and services on SAP BTP (preferred).

• Familiarity with SAP RISE, SAP BTP Integration Suite, and API management capabilities (preferred).

• Prior experience leading small development teams in banking, public funding, or regulated financial sectors (preferred).

• Proficiency in the German language (preferred).
