This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take complete ownership of the configuration, health, security posture, and strategic roadmap for one or more key IT platforms.
• Manage intricate escalations involving Mac, Windows, and Linux devices as well as SaaS applications.
• Enhance onboarding, offboarding, device lifecycle management, and access-provisioning workflows with scalability considerations.
• Operate Posit's enterprise AI platform and its integrations, including SSO/SCIM health, license management, MDM deployment, and support for complex issues.
• Guide IT Engineers through ticket pairing, pull-request evaluations, and the enhancement of technical practices.
• Oversee SaaS configurations, endpoint controls, access controls, and patch management to ensure security and compliance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and playbooks.
• Lead routine audits of IT-controlled systems and manage remediation efforts.
• Propel IT GitOps practices through version-controlled coding, pull requests, peer reviews, and coaching.
• Assist in defining IT engineering standards, IaC patterns, code review expectations, and exception processes.
• Aid in procurement, vendor evaluation, and technical assessments for new tools.
• Uphold information security and safety protocols.
• Monitor hardware/software assets and analyze capacity and spending trends.
• Respond to internal and external audit inquiries in collaboration with GRC and Security.
• Support authorized MCP integrations and AI workflows, encompassing identity, access, deployment, and monitoring.
• Suggest and implement automated IT process enhancements.
• Cultivate stakeholder relationships, review systems and processes, resolve escalations, take ownership of platforms, lead operational enhancements, and assist in audits and compliance efforts.
• Extensive progressive IT experience, including substantial roles as a systems administrator or engineer in a SaaS-first or distributed environment.
• Strong skills in problem investigation, deductive reasoning, escalation management, and system redesign.
• Capability to articulate complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences and collaborate with security, engineering, and legal stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of identity providers, MDM platforms, productivity suites, and endpoint security tools.
• Proficient with Okta, Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, Fleet, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.
• High level of proficiency with macOS, Linux, and Windows.
• Practical experience managing mobile device management platforms on a large scale.
• Strong understanding of SAML, OIDC, SCIM, MFA/SSO architectures, and prevalent identity threats.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing multiple SaaS applications on a large scale.
• Hands-on experience with IT GitOps, including version control, pull request workflows, and Infrastructure-as-Code using Pulumi or Terraform, or the capability to quickly acquire these skills through scripting and automation experience.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms such as Claude Enterprise and the safe operation of SSO, SCIM, MDM, and integration platforms.
• Experience in AWS infrastructure administration is a plus, covering compute, networking, IAM, backups, and monitoring.
