This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain internal software and tools utilized throughout Tiberius.
• Create services, automation, and operational tools primarily using Go and Rust.
• Build, manage, and enhance infrastructure that operates on Kubernetes.
• Establish reproducible development and system environments with Nix and NixOS.
• Enhance developer workflows, CI/CD processes, infrastructure management, deployment practices, and system reliability.
• Automate corporate IT and operational workflows.
• Provide support for internal technology across applications, Linux systems, networking, identity management, endpoints, and SaaS platforms.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, operations, and business teams to eliminate obstacles and deliver comprehensive results.
• Construct reliable, well-documented, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to shaping technical strategies.
• Report directly to the CTO.
• Extensive professional software engineering experience, including functioning at a Senior Software Engineer level.
• Strong experience in software development with Go.
• Proficiency in developing systems, services, or tools using Rust.
• In-depth practical experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, operation, and troubleshooting of containerized workloads.
• Familiarity with Nix and/or NixOS for creating reproducible environments, system configuration, or package management.
• Strong foundational knowledge of Linux and systems engineering.
• Experience in designing and maintaining production-quality internal tools, infrastructure, or platform services.
• Comprehensive understanding of networking, APIs, authentication, and the fundamentals of distributed systems.
• Capability to independently explore unfamiliar systems and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, highly collaborative setting.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
