Senior IT Application Developer – ASP.NET Core, C#, SQL Server

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create a method to generate an Asset Key from a globally unique identifier (GUID).

• Allocate Asset Keys to new ecosystem signs and retroactively assign them to existing signs.

• Assist the client data modeler in designing and implementing the database crosswalk and sign data schema.

• Design and execute the Data Exchange Layer (DEL) mediator component.

• Define DEL endpoints for transmitting IFC-centric sign data to and receiving data from the sign ecosystem.

• Implement business rules for sign changes and record pending sign modifications in a staging environment.

• Design and develop the Gatekeeper component along with its user interface.

• Present staged sign-data modifications for evaluation and enable approval, correction, or rejection.

• Distribute approved sign changes throughout the ecosystem.

• Implement security measures, administration, authentication, authorization, role-based access controls, and contextual assistance.

• Establish the sign data Source of Truth (SoT) and facilitate retrieval by Asset Key or identifier.

• Develop query mechanisms and direct-query user interfaces.

• Provide troubleshooting support and maintenance during pilot phases.

• Document endpoints, interfaces, processes, and in-app guidance.

• Contribute to the creation of end-user training materials.

• Engage in project meetings, sprint planning, development cycles, demos, and retrospectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of the US.

• Must be available to commence work on 10/12/2026.

• Availability for a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time.

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications, REST APIs, and modular services using ASP.NET Core, C#, SQL Server, Entity Framework Core or Dapper, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Proficient in Git, code review systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.

• Familiarity with Azure Web Apps, Azure SQL, Key Vault, REST API design, and modern .NET versions (6/7/8).

• Full-stack development experience, covering both backend and frontend frameworks.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with application, database, and network technical teams.

• Experience in defining API endpoints.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to optimize, enhance, and troubleshoot existing applications.

• Experience in implementing business rules for sign change management, lifecycle enforcement, and audit logging.

• Proficient in gathering requirements and delivering solutions in collaboration with business analysts, subject matter experts, and technical teams.

• Experienced in participating in project meetings, sprint planning, development cycles, demos, and retrospectives.

• Skilled in enforcing business rules for sign changes, including staging and reviewing pending modifications.

• Background in developing workflow-related logic.

• Experience in developing Gatekeeper components for reviewing, approving, correcting, or rejecting sign changes; propagating approved changes and maintaining logs.

• Familiar with establishing a Source of Truth (SoT) and retrieving sign data using Asset Key or identifier.

• Experienced in assigning and managing global Asset Keys and cross-referencing member system identifiers.

• Proficient in creating query mechanisms and user interfaces for accessing SoT sign data.

• Knowledgeable in implementing authentication, authorization, administration, role-based access controls, data integrity, privacy, and auditability standards.

• Capable of documenting endpoints, interfaces, and processes.

• Ability to contribute to in-app guidance, help documentation, and end-user training materials.

• Desirable: experience with ESRI, BIM/IFC data standards, large-scale SaaS/COTS software implementation, the State of Washington or other state agencies, bSDD, IFC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
