Senior Investor Suspense Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a thorough post-closing evaluation of completed mortgage loan files

• Address intricate post-closing defects and outstanding issues

• Investigate problems and secure any missing or revised documentation

• Collaborate with closing, underwriting, secondary marketing, servicing teams, and external partners

• Keep track of investor, warehouse, and secondary-market conditions

• Address post-closing stipulations, trailing document requests, and audit findings

• Evaluate loan-level and pipeline-level quality trends

• Suggest process and control enhancements to minimize defects and rework

• Stay informed about agency, investor, and regulatory standards

• Record post-closing workflows and update file status in loan systems

• Provide updates and escalate issues related to aging items and delivery risks

• Guide less-experienced team members on post-closing best practices

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in mortgage operations

• Extensive experience in reviewing closing and post-closing loan files, as well as delivery or servicing transfer activities

• Proven ability to interpret and implement investor, agency, and regulatory requirements for completed mortgage loan files

• Experience in researching and resolving complex loan defects or suspense issues under strict deadlines in a high-volume setting

• Proficient in using mortgage or loan origination/servicing systems and standard productivity tools

• A combination of education and experience considered acceptable

• Active or prior FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) underwriting certification and/or VA Staff Appraisal Reviewer (SAR) certification is highly preferred

• Experience applying FHA, VA, agency, and investor requirements in a mortgage post-closing, quality control, underwriting, or loan delivery environment is preferred
