Senior International Tax Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take charge of non-Polish entity tax workstreams across the UK, Spain, France, Brazil, South Africa, and Mexico.

• Foster and manage relationships with external tax advisors in each jurisdiction.

• Oversee daily international tax compliance, reporting, and transfer pricing workstreams.

• Investigate invoice content to ensure VAT compliance within European jurisdictions.

• Address audit inquiries and tax authority questions effectively.

• Collaborate on cross-functional product and business initiatives.

• Conduct monthly reconciliations alongside the accounting team.

• Enhance tax process documentation.

• Assist in tax planning, financial reporting, and the implementation of internal controls.

• Oversee tax provisions, monitor legislation, and improve systems/processes, including billing transformation.

• Report to the Global Head of Tax while collaborating with accounting and business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a professional tax or accounting certification, such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, or a local equivalent.

• Proven expertise in tax compliance, monthly reconciliations, process documentation, and transfer pricing operations.

• Strong understanding of Polish tax regulations.

• Experience with, or a keen interest in learning about, international tax compliance.

• Proficient in MS Excel and standard tax preparation/accounting tools.

• Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English.

• Previous experience with ERP systems like Dynamics NAV or managing networks of external tax advisors.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is advantageous.

• Experience in a fast-paced technology sector or dynamic scale-up environment is beneficial.
