Senior Integration Developer – Java, Spring Boot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and create enterprise integrations utilizing Azure Integration Services and Java Spring Boot.

• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices leveraging Java and Spring Boot.

• Configure and develop APIs through Azure API Management (APIM).

• Implement both synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns.

• Construct messaging and event-driven integrations using Azure Service Bus, including queues, topics, and subscriptions.

• Facilitate integrations between enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, databases, external partners, and Microsoft Azure services.

• Execute message transformation, validation, routing, and orchestration, alongside exception handling and retry strategies.

• Create reusable integration components and services that conform to enterprise standards.

• Implement API authentication and authorization with Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and Managed Identities.

• Safeguard credentials, secrets, certificates, and connection details using Azure Key Vault.

• Establish logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, correlation IDs, and operational telemetry.

• Develop unit tests, automated API tests, and integration tests.

• Collaborate with the Integration Lead, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Data Architects, and external vendors.

• Deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and reusable integrations for a modernization initiative in the Energy sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced/fluent English is mandatory (to be assessed during the interview).

• Over 8 years of experience in software development and enterprise integration.

• Strong practical development experience with Java and Spring Boot.

• Significant expertise in developing REST APIs and microservices.

• Hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM).

• Familiarity with Azure Service Bus, including queues, topics, subscriptions, and message processing.

• Solid understanding of synchronous, asynchronous, messaging, and event-driven integration patterns.

• Experience with JSON, REST, HTTP/HTTPS, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API security.

• Background in implementing exception handling, retry mechanisms, dead-letter processing, logging, and monitoring.

• Experience with additional Azure Integration Services, such as Logic Apps, Event Grid, Event Hubs, and Azure Functions (preferred).

• Experience integrating SaaS and enterprise platforms, including CRM, billing, payments, pricing, forecasting, and data platforms (preferred).

• Familiarity with Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, and Microsoft Entra ID (preferred).

• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics (preferred).

• Knowledge of Oracle and SQL databases, as well as database integrations (preferred).

• Experience in the Energy & Utilities or Retail Energy sectors (preferred).

• Understanding of customer information systems, billing, pricing, forecasting, payments, and energy market systems (preferred).
