Senior Information Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Implement and provide recommendations for optimizing data loss prevention solutions.

• Conduct regular reviews of the data protection program and suggest enhancements.

• Build and maintain relationships with business partners to identify the locations of sensitive data and the controls that can safeguard it.

• Address and refine processes related to data loss prevention alerts.

• Concentrate on data protection solutions within a SaaS-first environment, with a focus on Google Workspace.

• Assist in safeguarding Zscaler’s corporate data via Data Protection operations.

• Deploy and manage Zscaler security tools.

• Continuously enhance the accuracy of alerts generated by security systems.

• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Information Security Engineering in the Enterprise Security department.

⛳️ Requirements

• A demonstrated curiosity and proactive exploration of AI tools, with a track record of integrating new technologies to improve daily workflows and enhance problem-solving.

• Experience with a range of data loss prevention tools, emphasizing exfiltration methods such as web, endpoint, and email.

• Solid working knowledge of evaluating DLP alerts, minimizing false positives, and transitioning controls to a blocking state with minimal business disruption.

• Understanding of data repositories, including cloud and SaaS environments, to implement monitoring functionalities and controls.

• Background in various security domains, with practical knowledge of applying compensating controls and/or monitoring when primary controls or standard solutions cannot be utilized.

• Preferred: Proven capability to utilize AI technologies and workflows to achieve measurable operational efficiency.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Zscaler security tools, specifically ZIA DLP (IDM, EDM, CASB) and DSPM.

• Preferred: Skills in automation and/or AI for data processing and tuning opportunities.
